Interesting and Timely

I came across this yesterday and couldn't believe how timely it was. Many people are surprised by the lack of women in surgery. The premise of my book – the struggles of a lone woman surgeon in an otherwise all- male practicing environment in a hospital in the Deep South- is an all too common scenario, one that influences many women to quit medicine or move into a field that is less male-dominated.
